2019年5月24日，第四届古村镇大会在“九曲黄河第一镇”山西碛口古镇举办，大会上发布了《中国古村镇保护与发展碛口新宣言》，揭晓了“2019网友最喜爱的十大古村镇”。
The 4th National Conference on historic villages was held in the ancient town of Qikou, Shanxi Province, the first town of the Yellow River in Jiuqu on 24th May 2019. The new declaration on the protection and development of ancient Chinese villages and towns was released and “the 2019 netizens’ favorite top ten ancient villages and towns" were announced at the conference.
赫斯科中国技术董事张青先生受邀出席此次活动，与来自德国、意大利、荷兰、斯洛文尼亚及全国22个省市，国内外文物保护、遗产研究与活化、城乡规划、文化旅游、建筑设计、乡村建设、民宿实践、投融资、互联网传播等领域专家学者及全国50余家主流媒体近800人参加本届大会。
Mr. Qing Zhang, Technical Director from Haskoll china was invited to attend this event, with experts and scholars from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia and 22 provinces and cities nationwide, fields of domestic and foreign cultural relics protection, heritage research and activation, urban and rural planning, cultural tourism, architectural design, rural construction, residential practice, investment and financing, Internet communication, etc. Nearly 800 people and more than 50 mainstream media in the country attended the conference.
本届大会围绕“黄河传统 时代生活”主题，开展主旨报告，“乡村振兴、文旅融合、保护与活化”三大专题论坛，邀请了文物保护、遗产研究与活化、城乡规划、文化旅游等领域的近50位专家学者、业界顶级领袖作主题演讲分享，深度剖析文化遗产、自然资源的可持续保护及利用方式等热点话题。
The conference focused on the theme of "the life of the Yellow River" and the three major forums on "Revitalization of Rural Areas, Integration of Culture and Tourism, Protection and Activation”. The conference invited nearly 50 experts and scholars from the fields of cultural relics’ protection, heritage research and activation, urban and rural planning, and cultural tourism to share keynote speeches which deeply explored hot topics such as cultural heritage, sustainable conservation and utilization of natural resources.
此次活动由古村镇大会联合新浪旅游&微博县域共同组织，历时37天、90个古村镇参与角逐，经过170万网民参与投票、8大专家评审，“2019网友最喜爱的十大古村镇”正式出炉：”乌镇、丽江古城、西塘古镇、宏村、碛口古镇、黄姚古镇、凤凰古城、西江千户苗寨、周庄、婺源篁岭 “十个古村镇榜上有名。
The event was jointly organized by the Conference on historic villages and Sina Travel & Weibo County. It took 37 days and 90 ancient villages and towns to participate in the competition. 旅游与区域发展是先有鸡还是先有蛋的问题。古镇的确可以是一个地区文化和历史的缩影，但随着社会的发展，也可能几百年前兴建的村镇已经和社会与自然环境格格不入了。
